Services of the small animal practice

You have a close bond with your animal and therefore notice quickly if something is wrong with its state of health? If the animal suddenly behaves differently than usual, if it no longer eats sufficiently, if its bowel movements change, if it has problems with movement, if there are palpable lumps on the body or if there are injuries, a veterinarian should be consulted as soon as possible to clarify and treat the complaints.

If there are no health problems, you should still bring your pet to us for regular check-ups so that we can detect possible diseases as early as possible and check the vaccination status.

Whatever your concern, our veterinary practice is there for you. In an emergency, you can reach us around the clock. Otherwise, consultations are by appointment. Of course, we also offer house calls if you are unable to visit our practice.

The professional competences of your veterinary surgeon

Benefit from many years of experience in the field of veterinary medicine:

Dr. med. vet. Ludger Reissig studied veterinary medicine for six years at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover and completed his doctorate at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Study and training stays in Europe and Southern Africa as well as numerous practice representations in small animal practices and in the equine and livestock sector were decisive for his interest in small animal medicine.

In 1998, Dr. Reissig took over one of the oldest small animal practices in Wiesbaden and has since successfully expanded. In summer 2014, he opened a second practice in Eppstein-Vockenhausen. Dr. Reissig employs another veterinarian and three permanent veterinary assistants. The practices are also training centres for veterinary assistants.
